Navy pier is one of the popular family weekend destinations but I went there to get a good view back on Chicago’s skyline. And I would say it was worth it even though the hot dog “Chicago-style” was really not to recommend.

On Navy Pier you can even find special Uber queues which at least for me as European was a brand new thing to see.

North of the Navy Pier you’ll eventually end up in Gold Coast, a quarter filled with luxurious boutiques as well as high-class penthouses and villas. More for my wallet was the beach which offers once again a stunning view back on the cities’ skyline.
