You like Saunas? You like hot summers? You like the feeling of constant thirst? I have a travel recommendation for you.
Tiny, winding roads along the bay of Kotor reveal plenty of beautiful towns and spots to go swimming in the calm sea. The hospitality of the people we met in Montenegro and the low amount of tourists compared to the crowded Croatia made this an absolute highlight of our tour.
This spring I was on a roadtrip thorugh the Balkans, Croatia, Montenegro and Bosnia & Hercegovina. Start and finish was in Dubrovnik so here is a selection of a beautful city, suffering from vast amounts of tourists from all over the world.
…no more words needed.
Although taking the tram is quite a popular way of transportation in Lisbon I decided to take a walk from Lisbon all the way to Belém.
Beautiful, charming Lisbon. I heard lots of positive things about Lisbon before I travelled there myself for the first time but yet I was stunned by Lisbon. The authenticity of the remaining old core of the city with its little districts spread around the hilltops and the river-shore on the South it has all you good wish for and more.
Last fall I made my first ever trip to India. The purpose of the trip was a wedding ceremony in Coimbatore so there won’t be any pictures of this on this blog. But I want to share some of the pictures I took before and after the week of ceremony.
The road back to Oslo we followed the beautiful winding roads along the fjords and over the mountains and made a hiking stopover at Geilo. First great picture taking spot was in Undredal to enjoy the stunning view over the Aurlandsfjord.
Bergen is always a great destination to go to so obviously it was part of our roadtrip. Compared to my previous visits I had the fortune to drive to Bergen along the fjords instead of flying in. What a route.
Fjords, mountains, lakes and of course the sea gives Norway its unique, beautiful landscape. So for our next hiking adventure we decided to something we hadn’t done before and hike up to one of the glaciers; in this case the Buerbreen next to Odda.
Leaving from Stavanger we headed north taking the ferry over the fjord to Tau.
There are probably two world renowned hiking trips in Norway, Preikestolen and Trolltunga. So the shorter trip of the two was also on our list. So we from our base in Stavanger we took the ferry crossing the Lysefjord on the way to the starting point of the 4 hour long hiking tour.
